Amazing isn't it? Controlling the breath controls emotions. The diet supports the body, the mind controls the emotions.

I'm enjoying the new influx of helpful information you and Serloco have brought to Sorcery. We're finally discussing things that matter and are beneficial.. uplifting even.

Maybe alignment supports the spirit? Serloco took the body, you covered the mind here, I'm excited to see who introduces the support for the spirit.

Breathing could also be seen as an energy exchange with one's environment. As we take in air with it we take in whatever anything else nearby has released into it. And when you breath it out it's mixed with your own energy. The cycle of breathing in and out also creates a wave pattern in the air around us too.

Pixie, maybe you can bring in the spirit aspect Smile hehe.

I have found breath to be a useful tool. I tend to use it mainly to relax, to fall asleep in a more conscious way, to become more aware of my body, to move more into the present moment and sometimes for other things. (Sometimes it works more effectively for me than at other times though hehe).

I do find it intriguing that one of the speakers talked about how a specific breath pattern creates the emotion. It follows that not only the eyes or feelings can help shift the AP, breath can do it too. I was, of course, already using breath for just this, but I guess I did not realize the scope of it to the degree that I realized it when watching that video.

Actually, dreaming is the spiritual aspect.  Dreaming connects the tonal to the spiritual awareness.  Dreaming gives us additional life experience, speeding up our own evolution.

Sharing dreams (after the dreaming has occurred, not shared dreaming) with others further educates how we see others and ourselves.

Shared dreaming opens a new gateway into telepathy.  It's very intimate and leads to very interesting areas for the exploration of consciousness.

All of those are great ways to tap into the spiritual self.  It's easy for anyone to do.  Dreams aren't as interesting as vitamins and pranayama Smile  I imagine the highest priority is the body, then the mind, and then if one has extra time and interest, the spiritual plane.

Anyway, there's enough written about dreaming that I won't re-invent the wheel.  I'm satisfied saying that dreaming is the gateway to the Great Beyond.  Lol.  The mysterious beast waiting to be tamed and understood.

As someone getting into the area of holistic healing I find the breathing and the yoga to be very important. HOlistic healing deals with the totality of health ranging from physical, mental, spiritual, social, and emotional areas of our "wholeness". I find it awesome that holistic healers focus on the cause of illness and not just the symptoms of the illness. You must find the cause and treat the cause. You must look at a person as a whole entity. I love how breathing is made to be so important. I just researched herbs for energy, and vitality, and stamina and endurance, which I think relates to breathing. I just sit here and take a few deep breathes and all my worries dissolve away and i feel a rush in my body. Its true that casinos often flood extra oxygen into the room to promote happiness. I think taking time to deep breath and become aware of the moment around you brings about much happiness and well being.
