"This 'shift' into the Nahual, the totality, has another characteristic that can be voiced. Everyone speaks of perception. The act of moving one's point of awareness to another place of assemblage. Again, I share my own experience here. The shift I am speaking about is not a perception. It is Total Awareness. Maybe this is the 3rd attention.... I don't know. But here it is. There is no perception. No view. No observation. There is simultaneous awareness of all things as part of the total self, the Nahual.
If one is perceiving, one is still separate and in the 1st or 2nd attention. Perception is a factor in those states. In the true Ocean of Purity, there is complete awareness...; what is outside the self to perceive?"
This is a very good point and a lot "clicked" for me when I read it. I tend to use the words awareness and perception interchangeably and I shouldn't. This past year has been one of great change for me.
I would say that the change is in my "Awareness" or "Understanding". Like I'm seeing the "big picture" more than I have before. It's like I am getting revelations on things that I already got revelations on. Just a deeper understanding of the same things. And that maybe that is the way it will continue.
I believe that my whole past;"the good, bad and the ugly" have led to this, and were for a reason.
Two revelations that seemed to "trigger" this are Bible based because that it my roadmap of reality.
The first is a realization that the Old Testament Laws, all of the "thou shalts" and "thou shalt nots" are actually promises and prophecies to tell us what we are growing into. "Thou shalt not covet" is telling us about how we are changing, not commanding us. Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart...etc. Is the same thing. Telling us that becoming one with the All is becoming more and more important to us and will be the only thing of any importance to us as we grow in understanding and awareness.
The other revelation has to do with the true meaning of the law of circumcision. It goes something like; You shall be circumcised -in the flesh- throughout your generations.
This is describing the peeling away of the layers of limitation (or flesh) of both our awareness and perception.
The generations would be the different stages of waking up or coming to life. In the flesh would also mean that it will happen while we are still in this body, Now. Not in some coming reincarnation.
I would have to go back and read Don Juan's description of the 3rd attention to see if it fits, but it may. And, I think it may also fit "Christ Consciousness" or "I Am", or "I and the Father are One".
I'm not saying I am there, I'm only looking at the direction this seems to be going.
