I think that what I described was the beginning of a gradual process in myself. My teacher and Gopi Krishna both went through a much more sudden and full awakening.

I am of the opinion that it is the "Baptism of Fire" spoken of by John the Baptist. And that Jesus said; No one puts new wine into an old skin lest the bottle burst and both the wine and the bottle are lost.
My teacher was of the opinion that no one was ever ready for it when it happened. But there is a lot more info now days with the internet. He might have changed his opinion if he had read those personal experiences now.
It seems to me that the experiences and their intensity very greatly by what I've read on the net.

It was an extremely beautiful and powerful experience and it is only recently that I have come to realize that I have been feeling the effects of it recurring over the last 20 years. There are some physical difficulties, but not more than I can handle as yet.
But back to the topic. Gopi Krishna had the experience once and it almost killed him. He stopped all meditations for years and got stronger again and decided to try it again. It almost killed him a second time.
In books written much later, after he survived and got strong again, he described that he then went through an experience of seeing that everything was connected; Cosmic Consciousness, I think he called it. It sounded more like the experience that Doktor Green described.
To see eternity in a grain of sand kind of thing.
Where I would describe my experience as "one with" the Power behind the scenes. Whatever power that was.
The color was right and my teacher said that his source of Power was Chokmah. A Sephirah upon the Tree of Life".
That is my view upon it now, it could change.
But, seeing everything as "One" is, I believe another experience that I have not experienced as yet, though I am not even sure of that.
It is hard to describe these things and we don't always get a good idea from descriptions of realities which cannot be contained in words.Bob
