well, I know how to change that thnx to trying it on SW. But if that doesn't work for you then it is just not meant to be. If you need to respond publicly to private pms then do so please through email or facebook or skype - for many here I know you got another form of contact. There is also Just Talk subforum in The Tonal that you can use - but please be sensitive that not everything people write you in PM is good for a public response. I know you probs are aware of this. I just feel better saying it though .

You're right, I do have other ways to contact people from here. I could Skype, call, or email. I just haven't felt a desire to reach out in that way maybe that will change, but probably not.

I also secretly dislike PMs, and find it more efficient to be public with my exchanges from here. I could troubleshoot with Tapatalk, but why bother when I don't have secret discussions like that? I mean, if I did, I wouldn't have them on Tapatalk's platform. Tis flimsy.

As far as what's appropriate.. if what people send me isn't appropriate to the site then they ought not send it to me privately. My peeps have been wonderful though, I haven't had a PM issue in ages. I daresay the muggles in my life are being pleasant. Kudos to them.

Serious question now: how do I delete my LOTR account since I'll never be playing it again? Do you want my loot before I delete? I think I might have useful stuff on them? I haven't logged in in ages :/

sry no clue about LOTRO. I don't need anything either, though thanks for asking, I guess - this is the type of stuff that I mean would be better to use other venues for (not the admin/mod log lol). We haven't played for a long time, couple of years. Too busy with other stuff...it's too bad really.. . I wish that we'd all have a couple of lifetimes

We could play Fortnite. It's less commitment, each round is only maybe 10 minutes long. Nothing in the inventory stays past the round. It's a fast moving shooting and strategy game.

It's also free.

The Save the World version of Fortnite is longer term and pay to play. I haven't tried that yet, but I might get around to it.

Sorry, no time now. Towards the end of the year I might be up for some Mortal Kombat (those matches are short and sweet, although the gore is certainly exaggerated). Or something similar, but I don't enjoy shooter games. I am more of a fantasy style person. But in general it seems to me my gaming days are over .

Ah, yeah I'm not into the Mortal Combat, Street Fighter type. That's too pointless. Fortnite is pointless too but you get to be pointless with 99 other people. And there's building, shooting, healing, raiding. It's not just FPS. Good rounds function as a 50 group herd. A ten minute family.

If people would let me know when they send PMs, that would be helpful. I don't get alerts like the old platform and there's been times when I missed a PM for MONTHS because I didn't know I had one.

I didn't know I upset you but from your PM apparently I had. I hadn't read your PM prior to my response to you in the soul thread so if I seem unusually unaffected, it's because I thought things were great and you figured things out and cleaned things up and were good.

But you're not good :/

So I think it's best if I stop posting in that thread, for the reasons I mention in the PM, until we sort things out (or not).

On a separate note, but similar one, how do other people do the PM thing so they don't miss it? Do you just randomly check it or do you get the email feature? I wish when I logged in a notification would show me as a website based alert.

Kao, once I cleared up the thread things were good with me. Otherwise, I'd not be able to respond in the way I did. So in that sense you can trust your feelings. 
I sent you the PM to let you know I had to do this process and why. And hopefully to not have that happen later on.

I get a little red dot on top of the mail icon at the top of the page whenever I get a new pm. Do you not get that as well?

There are also email notifications if one wants them. I assume Kao disabled it all and that is why she doesn't see the dot or get an email. If this is not the case then JJ will take care of it

Hmmm.... I see the red dot and I don't get the email notifications. I thought I turned them off, but maybe I just configured my email account to auto-delete them when they come in.

With JJ's help it works now.

Seems I had emails on, notifications off. I check my email sporadically so that didn't help things. Now notifications are on and email is off. Lol. All this tech stuff is really outside my wheelhouse. You techies really know your stuff.

and it would need quite a good system. For one, Animals might feel bad, nervous, anxious, frightened, uncomfortable etc depending on who (which being / other animal) is close to them. Plus one could make a system that would make it easier for feeding so people taking care of them do not have to walk in chaotic patterns to feed everybody . And if I were to think about it a bit I'm sure I would come up with loads of stuff to consider
