((( The Practical Seer )))
I realize now that it is a matter of emotional content. That's why that live version doesn't sound as good as the original.
Eric Clapton is playing the notes, but his emotional content
lacks all sense of the Divine Spirituality of the original version.

An average slide is made for playing chords with the guitar
in special tunings. You can use it for lead guitar, but its bulk makes it difficult
to get too fast and fancy when playing lead phrases.

The ring-slide solves all those problems

The disadvantage of this type of ring-slide
is you can't get it to just the right width by adjusting it.
With mine you can turn it until you get just the right amount
of metal between the strings

The advantage to this one is one size can be adjusted to fit all.
With mine I had to experiment and send the wrong sizes back
until I was FINALLY satisfied that I had the best size for my needs

Since I am going to be using these Peaceland ring-slides a lot
I decided to buy two more.

I'm glad I left a review, in 2013, on the proper size for my needs.
The one I use is a 6.5

I had tried size 11 and it was too big for my needs.
I tried size 6 and it was too small
6,5 is JUST RIGHT!

I feel the problem is that Eric Clapton is functioningwith what brain cells he has left.

It's a miracle the guy survived the 1970s.
I wouldn't be surprised if a great percentage of his brain cells
are now permanently dead

So, he's doing the best he can with what brain cells he has left.

This is fucking pathetic!!!

Eric Clapton, apparently, doesn't realize

that he was creating something SACRED

with his original lead breaks in the Beatles song

WHILE MY GUITAR GENTLY WEEPS

He sounds like some okay guitarist trying to emulate

THE REAL ERIC CLAPTON!!

It pisses me off to see Eric Clapton so NUMB to the Spirit

Actually, it's miraculous Eric Clapton still sounded that good.Note George Harrison's son, Dhani, next to Eric Clapton

When I started practicing this song, yesterday, I was immediately convincedthere was NO POSSIBLE WAY I could use the ring slide and outdo Eric Clapton, at his young best.

Today, I find myself more than half-way to reaching my goal

Remember: It is Intent that gives the notes true POWER!!!Without the proper Intent, all you have...are notes

Now, this is funny. That ACDC guitarist wearing an English schoolboy uniform
and bopping around like a kid when he's, what, 70 years old??

I guess there's no point asking the ACDC singer
to sing a Sinatra tune, right?

I've wondered about the Rolling Stones mobile recording studio
I had heard so much about. Pretty cool.

Lots of great rock bands used it to record awesome music

It's hard to believe that The Beatles were once
the brand new enigma that revolutionized with world of modern music.
Now, you probably will have a hard time watching the entire video

It's fair enough to say you are an impotent phony

Do you even have a clue what a little jerk you are?

ADD-  Okay, sacateca... what is it you say that warrants monopolizing an entire main section? (since what little of yours I've read is ****)

What point(s) are seriously important to you?

Also, Why do you care if others don't believe in/adore a GOD?  I've seen a couple times where you cram it down on others.  What is that **** about?  Why do that?

My two new Peaceland ring-slides arrived today!
I'm going to start using the new ones and have the old ones in various places
I may look if I can't find the new ones.

The ring-slide has to be heavy enough to do the job.
However, it is not too heavy to do more intricate things
than you can do with a standard slide.

Of course, when it comes to playing chords on a guitar
the standard slide is the king. However, for more intricate lead guitar
the ring-slide is the magical answer.

Here are an assortment of standard slides:

I tried and don't like the glass ones because they don't ground the guitar when you use them.
The metal ones give you the ability to ground the instrument every time they come
in contact with the strings.

I found a really fun version of this Beatles song at Amazon.
There's a cute version with kids singing and an instrumental Karaoke version.
I fused the two together so that the kids only sing during the chorus.

The rest is for singing or ring-slide work.
Quite a challenge to play ring-slide on this song and do it justice.

This is the full singing kids version.
Lots of fun!

I just realized another advantage of the ring-slide.
When you get the size that is just right it fits snugly all by itself.

NOT SO with the standard slide. To make a standard slide fit snugly
you have to hold it snugly with the surrounding fingers.

This ring-slide manifested right out of my imagination!
I was thinking how cool it would be to have a slide that was like a ring.
For the heck of it, I decided to search the Internet and when I saw it
I was truly shocked!!! There is was!!! Right out of my imagination!!!!

My greatest hope was to be able to use the ring-slide and while it is still on
be able to do all kinds of other intricate riffs with my fingers
as though the ring-slide wasn't on my finger at all.

That will take some work for the ring-slide is like wearing a weight on one finger.
However, the possibility does indeed exist.
