Mark Twain has the best quotes, I love him too. HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE: May we all have peace and be mindful through this season that society has made
mindless and maddening.

Thanks everyone for your input, and just so you know when you search for "Castaneda" at scribd.com it comes back with a lot of stuff and the key for
me is it is free. I will start reading up on it, It is funny the art of dreaming was recommended cause it is interesting that this point in my life has lead me
to start logging my dreams although they still perplex me and hopefully it will help me in new ways.

to stay on the subject of this thread, I guess I came to a point in my life of questioning why am I suffering and feeling sorry for myself and finally came to
my own conclusion of my original statement which is maybe we need to suffer to enjoy and truly appreciate peace, the only thing is if the world was already
filled with peace, would the ones who never knew suffering get bored and evolve to suffering, I kind of ponder that sometimes, maybe the stories would remain
to keep the future generations or it would just be a part of evolution.

Thanks for the @scribd tip, free is key for me too.

Suffering and feeling peace are experiences we have here in this life, how can we know one without the other? Since I love Rumi, here is a poem by him:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Guest House

This being human is a guest house.

Every morning a new arrival.

A joy, a depression, a meanness,

some momentary awareness comes

as an unexpected visitor.

Welcome and entertain them all!

Even if they're a crowd of sorrows,

who violently sweep your house

empty of its furniture,

still, treat each guest honorably.

He may be clearing you out

for some new delight.

The dark thought, the shame, the malice,

meet them at the door laughing,

and invite them in.

Be grateful for whoever comes,

because each has been sent

as a guide from beyond.

No problem bluedreamer I have had a group there @scribd for a while called "UFO & Time Travel" with a lot of interesting stuff but I am now
fascinated with castaneda's works, I already read the first 2 chapters last night but it was tough with my kids always demanding my attention, and I agree
with you as well, it would hard to know one without the other when it comes to suffering and peace.

That was a great poem and thanks for welcoming me here, I have to thank rasselon for bringing this forum to my attention, I was discussing the comte de saint
germain with him as well as my dream log I started keeping not long ago and he suggested I check this group out and I am glad I did.

I plan on posting the dream log soon for downloads (they are in audio format) and I will share it once it is setup.

It's been about 2 weeks and I'm still doing it. I don't feel any more enlightened than before, but I haven't felt anger or resentment since, so
it must be doing something. Overall I feel happier than I did before. I'm also making an effort to clear my mind of internal dialogue and not just telling
the flyers to get lost. It's not enough though. Self-importance and fear are deeply entrenched in everything I do. I have a long way to go.

Rasselon realizing the presence of the flyer is a mighty step forward. Once it knows you know, it becomes more entrenched, do not give it permission to be in
your body.
